About Me

Hello all!  Welcome to my WordPress blog!

I’m just going to jump into this, so here is the skinny on me…I have two children (a daughter and a son), 29 years old, served 8 years in the Air Force as a security forces member (military police), lived in Indiana for the better part of my life but also lived in Texas and Alaska, graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems in 2011, and work as a network administrator for an Internet Service Provider.

I love to spend time with my kids, golf, watch and play sports, work with and on computers and networks, experiment with new hardware and software, play fantasy sports on ESPN.com, and from time to time, play video games.

I would love to learn more about photography, photo and video editing and its associated software, hacking (the ethical type), and about a million other things!

I like to write about my children, computer tutorials, sports, and just every day stuff.  In fact, when I was contemplating what my career was going to be after leaving the military it was between information technology and journalism; I chose the former but through WordPress, I’ll be able to continue with the latter.

    • You’re very welcome Yi! And it most certainly is a Braves jersey and cap I’m wearing. I’ve been following the Braves since I was a little boy!

      Now as an adult, whenever the Braves come up to Cincinnati, OH (about an hour away from me) to play the Cincinnati Reds, me and my family have made it an annual tradition to go watch them. We’ve been doing that for the last 8 or 9 years.

  5. Oh, and btw … I knew I felt the connection – I was an AF aircraft maintenance officer for eight years – back in the mid 80’s till ’93. I always like the SP’s – kept my guys out of trouble!!

    • Well how about that? Thank you for your service “sir”!

      If I remember correctly, the aircraft maintenance guys never liked the SP’s when I served (’02-’10). As a security precaution, we would randomly (after being directed by leadership to do so) go around the flight line requesting to see everyone’s restricted area badges to make sure they were authorized in the area. Something about that look on their face just screamed, “Go away, I’m trying to work.” I don’t know, maybe it was just me.

      And for my own BTW, I’ve added you to my blogroll so people that visit my site can more easily access yours! I’m so glad you came across my blog as that gave me the ability to read some of your great material.

      Secondly, and just something small. I’ve noticed you putting “Joy” instead of “Joe” when you mention my blog. 🙂 Just a typo, so no big deal. But if you could fix that, that’d be great!
